Meet the Premier Motorhome Converter Partners

In 1979, Liberty Coach partnered with Prevost and produced its first LeMirage conversion.  

Liberty is a family-owned and operated company that was started as a backyard business in the far north suburbs of Chicago in 1972. Today, Liberty builds 14–16 new Elegant Lady coaches per model year at its North Chicago production facility, nearly all on a custom-order basis. The company also operates a full-service dealership in Stuart, Fla., to provide maintenance and upgrade services and an inventory of late-pre-owned coaches. 

Liberty is known for constantly pushing the envelope in coach technology and design and has been responsible for virtually every major engineering breakthrough since the Prevost partnership began.

In 1990, Marathon Coach joined as a premier converter partner. 

Marathon Coach is a family-owned business that was founded in 1983. The company is headquartered in Coburg, Ore., with sales and service facilities in San Antonio, Fla. and Grand Prairie, Texas.

Over the decades, Marathon has grown its business by producing innovative, quality coaches and having an unwavering commitment to personalized service and after sales support. Marathon’s engineers, craftspeople, and designers work collaboratively across departments to design and produce each custom coach.

In 1991, Featherlite Coaches joined as a premier converter partner.

Featherlite Coaches, which is based in Suffolk, Va., and has a sales and service location in Sanford, Fla., traces its history back to the yacht building industry. The company’s first Vantaré coach was essentially a Prevost bus shell upfitted with a luxury yacht interior and reliable marine quality systems.

In the ’90s, Featherlite joined forces with Vantaré and grew to become a major builder of custom luxury motorhomes in the motorsports world, particularly among NASCAR team owners.
