Prevost 100th

History Highlights
2010 - 2019

The 2010s

As the economy recovered from the previous decade's recession, Prevost introduced technological features to assist operators and drivers, became the industry market share leader for the first time, and introduced the X3-45 Commuter coach. The world grew increasingly reliant on social media and mobile applications for communication, and Prevost launched its first mobile app, the Prevost Service Locator.

François Tremblay became president of Prevost in 2016, driving tremendous product innovation and maintaining a consistent top market position.

The company expanded its service support by growing the North American service network with new locations and the addition of mobile units. Focusing on features, electrification, and operator support, Prevost partnered with UMA and ABA on driver training and sponsored the UMA Driver Competition. The electrification plan included PRIME energy management and the introduction of the electric fan drive. Prevost AWARE automatic cruise braking led to the development of Driver Assist, which incorporated lane departure warnings and a heads-up display.

In 2010, after the Volvo D13 engine had been introduced as an option in 2007, the company announced it as standard for all production models.
