Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Enrollment and Management

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a second verification step in addition to your password.

MFA is now required to log in to Prevost PRO and Online Warranty.

Access Your Security Information
To set up or manage your MFA methods at any time:

  1. In a private browser go to https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info
  2. Sign in with your Prevost ID Example: [email protected] and password
  3. Select security info

This page allows you to add, remove, or change your authentication methods.


Add a New MFA Method

  1. In security info, select + add sign-in method
  2. Choose from the available options
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup

Available Methods
Depending on your device and setup, the following methods may be available:

  • Passkey in Microsoft Authenticator - sign in using biometrics (face, fingerprint) or PIN through the Authenticator app
  • Passkey (device-based or security key) - Use your device or a physical key to sign in without a password
  • Microsoft Authenticator - approve sign-in requests via push notification or use one-time passcodes
  • Phone (SMS/text) - receive a verification code by text message
  • Alternate Phone - recieve a verification code through a phone call
  • Office Phone - receive a verification code through a phone call to a work number (direct phone number without an extension)

Change Your Default MFA Method
Your default method is the one first used when authetication is required.


To Change Your Default Method

  1. Go to security info
  2. Locate the authentication method you want to use
  3. Select change next to the sign-in method when most advisable
  4. Choose your preferred method
  5. Save your changes

Update or Replace an Existing Method

To modify your current setup:

  • To update details (i.e. phone number)
    1. Select the method (i.e. phone)
    2. Choose change
    3. Enter the new information and confirm
  • To remove a method
    1. Select the method
    2. Click delete
    3. Confirm removal
  • To add a replacement method
    1. Click + Add sign-in method and follow the setup steps
