October 2023 - If you have updated to Tech Tool 2.8.210.
This version doesn't require a multi-factor identification to log in. The only difference is the user ID from to log in.
External user form has changed in this update for example if the user id was M300852 before the update, it is now [email protected].
If the customer doesn’t add @ext.volvogroup.com to is user id, they will not be able to log in.
The password will remain the same as before the update.
A major change is coming soon on how you log in to your Volvo / Prevost applications. This includes Prevost Tech Tool, Online ordering, online warranty and Impact.
Volvo Group (Mack Trucks, Volvo Trucks, Volvo Buses, Prevost, Nova Bus, Volvo Construction Equipment) is implementing a new and more secure login method to Volvo Group systems called, Multi Factor Authentication (MFA). The first application to require MFA is Premium Tech Tool.
Must have a unique email address per User ID.
MFA Enrollment
Please follow the step-by-step instructions below on MFA and begin the setup process by selecting your preferred method (SMS/Phone, Authenticator App or Security Key). This is in preparation of the MFA Go Live in Fall of 2023.
We will need your mobile phone number for each of your TechTool users ID. In the situation you cannot use a cell phone to authenticate 2 others options area available: landline phone (must be direct) or YubiKey.
