Prevost 100th

Partner for the Ride

Every year, former NASCAR driver and racing analyst Kyle Petty hits the open road for one week to lead the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America, one of the most popular charity rides in the country. The ride is known as the ultimate motorcycle experience and has raised over $21 million to support Victory Junction, a camp created in honor of Adam Petty that offers life-changing experiences for children with serious and chronic medical conditions.

This year the charity ride featured a special partner: a Prevost coach and driver, aiding the Petty family throughout their journey.

The Prevost coach served as a comfortable home-away-from-home during their 2,100-mile trek, providing the perfect "camping" spot for Overton and Cotten, two of the Petty family's young children.

“We call it camping out. They love the bunks. Cotten is on the bottom, Overton is in the middle, and I got the top bunk. We chatted all night long. It's like a pajama party with your kids,” Petty shared.

Outfitted with modern amenities, including a kitchen and ample storage, the coach offered more than just convenience. It allowed the Petty family to focus on the journey, creating lifelong memories and continuing Adam Petty's legacy.

The event brought together 250 participants, including NASCAR Hall of Famer and longtime Prevost motorhome owner Richard Petty, and 30 new riders, one of whom was Daniel Besserer, regional commercial director for Prevost.

"This is part of Prevost's 100th anniversary year. It’s a monumental accomplishment, and having our vehicle as part of the support crew here is just amazing," said Besserer.

At the beginning of their journey, each rider participating in "The AmerICON Ride" was given a special gift made by the kids at Victory Junction. This token of appreciation symbolized the heartfelt connection between the riders and the children they support.

“It puts life back in perspective. That one week with the Kyle Petty Charity Ride, seeing the kids, and going to camp helps you understand what’s truly important in life.”
